Gear VR

Instructions

  1. Go to the Play Store and install "Package Disabler Pro".
  2. Open "Package Disabler Pro" and search for "Gear VR Service".
  3. Push the Disable button, this will disable the oculus home app that start automatically when you slide the Samsung in the GearVR.
  4. Open the VRto.me weblink in a browser (Samsung internet app or Chrome dev works best)
  5. Tilt the phone to the side and click on the goggle icon.
  6. Select GearVR in the custom settings.
  7. Slide the phone in the GearVR

Mobile

Instructions

  1. Load VRto.me in a browser.
  2. Hold up your phone and move it around to look, or touch-and-drag to rotate.
  3. Tap the "VR" icon button, and insert your phone into a Cardboard holder.

Oculus Rift

Instructions

  1. Install the latest Oculus runtime.
  2. Install Firefox Nightly or experimental builds of Chromium.
  3. Ensure that your Oculus settings allow for Unknown Sources.
  4. Open VRto.me.
  5. Press the "VR" button to send content into headset.

Notes

HTC Vive

Firefox Instructions

  1. Install Firefox Nightly.
  2. Download version 1.02 of the openvr_api.dll file from the OpenVR GitHub repository: 32-bit, 64-bit.
  3. Save the openvr_api.dll file somewhere on your computer where the user running Firefox can read it.
  4. In Firefox Nightly, navigate to about:config; change the value of dom.vr.openvr.enabled to true and gfx.vr.openvr-runtime to the full path of the openvr_api.dll file.
  5. Restart Firefox Nightly.
  6. Enjoy VRto.me.

Chromium Instructions

  1. Install experimental build of Chromium.
  2. In the URL bar, load chrome://flags#enable-webvr and toggle the Enable WebVR flag.
  3. In the URL bar, load chrome://flags#enable-gamepad-extensions and toggle the Enable Gamepad Extensions flag.
  4. Launch the SteamVR application.
  5. Enjoy VRto.me.
